Day 1: Mountain biking and Elephant riding.
After finding the perfect bike set up for your individual needs your guide will lead you leisurely out of town and into the stunning scenery of the surrounding area. The first stop along the way is Ban Phanom a village famous for its beautiful made fabrics and textiles. A few kilometres further on hidden off the road and nestled on the bank of the Nam Khan is the weaving village. On the nam Khan River bank this is a perfect place to cool off by paddling on the bank of this peaceful river.
As you bike on tour adventure camp you will pass forests, farmland, mountains and villages full of happy smiling faces. Your lunch will be waiting for you on arrival at the Lao PTM camp. After lunch you swap bicycles for elephant riding (about one hour) to the Tad Sae Waterfall. There you can swim. When you are ready, our boat will take you back to the camp. To give you a taste of how rural laotians live their lives, you can visit Ban Souan village which is very close by our Lao PTM adventure camp. Evening meal and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 2: Trekking to khmu and hmong villages.
An early start awaits you on your second day (sorry!). After breakfast your guide will lead you out of the camp into lush green countryside. After a rewarding 2 hours trek, you will arrive at a Hmong village.
After spending some time in this village you will bid farewell to your Hmong hosts and trek on for another 3 hours to a Khmu village. Your guide will be happy to explain the cultural differences of the hill tribe villages that you pass through.
After lunch a 2 hours trek lies ahead of you on your way back to Lao PTM camp. If you still have some energy left, feel free to cycle back to town. If you would rather not cycle then a car will be waiting to bring you back to Luang Prabang.
